Quickborn Consulting upgrades Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning at leading home decor retailer Kirkland’s, the first cloud upgrade implementation in the USA!
Brentwood, Tennessee and Minneapolis, Minnesota – May 2019
Kirkland’s is a leading home decor and gifts retailer based in Brentwood, Tennessee, with over 1 4,000 products and operating 369 stores in 35 states. Kirkland’s engaged Quickborn Consulting to upgrade their v13 on prem Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning to v17 cloud to achieve their goal of modernization and efficiency.
By engaging Quickborn, Kirkland’s has successfully lifted and shifted their financial planning solution to the cloud with all the existing custom functionalities included. This project was one of the first few implementations of Oracle MFP v17 Jet Architecture. And the upgrade was successfully delivered in five months from Discovery to Go-Live. This has allowed Kirkland’s to achieve a more scalable solution with less TCO in a highly secured and reliable environment.
“Moving our merchandise financial planning solution to Oracle cloud allowed our teams to focus on more important tasks than running infrastructure and systems in house. We are also able to take advantage of solution updates on a regular basis without extensive effort of upgrading underlying systems, ensuring we stay current on supported versions and latest business value delivered to our planning teams.” – said Robert Kagenski, Director of Business Systems of Kirkland’s.
“Quickborn and Kirkland’s has been working together for many years. We performed multiple system upgrades and solution implementations and are also supporting the business on ongoing operational activities. We are honored to be trusted by Kirkland’s to secure their journey to the cloud with the implementation of Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning Cloud Service. Our accelerated lift and shift delivery methodology has helped Kirkland’s successfully complete the project on time and on budget, delivering important strategic planning capabilities to the business.” – said Gabor Tozser, Founder and CEO of Quickborn Consulting.
Kirkland’s has implemented multiple merchandising and planning solutions from Oracle including Oracle Retail Merchandising System, Oracle Retail Allocation, Oracle Retail Sales Audit, Oracle Retail Invoice Matching, Oracle Retail Price Management, Oracle Retail Trade Management, Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning and Oracle Retail Assortment Planning. Kirkland’s also has a long history of partnership with Quickborn for Oracle Retail solutions consulting, implementation, upgrade, support, maintenance, and monitoring.
